One lamp and one switch connection | 1 switch 1 holder connection
One lamp and one switch connection:
This diagram shows how to make one lamp and one switch connection. In this simple diagram, we use a light, a switch, and a DP MCB ( Double Pole Miniature Circuit Breaker ). First, we need to input power to DP MCB from the energy meter. Then input phase line switches and from switch to light. At last, we need to connect the neutral wire to the light from DP MCB. Now our circuit is ready for use. If you want to see the youtube video of this diagram please check our youtube link below the post.

Components used to make the One lamp and one switch connection:
01. DP MCB

Double pole MCB can control two wires. This circuit breaker is generally used in single-phase electric lines. Double pole MCB circuit breaker input has two wires supply two wires and an output. In a single-phase line, A double-pole MCB circuit breaker is used to give good production. This circuit breaker is provided through phase and neutral circuit breaker, it is very safe. This circuit breaker is preferred for home appliances. A DP MCB usually trips for 2 reasons 1. Overload 2. Short circuit.
02. SwitchÂ

A Single-Pole, Single-Throw (SPST) Switch. It's Got one Output and One Input. The Switch will Either be Closed or Completely Disconnected. SPSTs are Perfect for on-off Switching. They're also a Very Common Form of Momentary Switches. SPST Switches are Commonly Used in a Variety of Electrical Circuits and Applications, Such as Turning on And off Lights, Fans, and Other Appliances. They can Also be Used to Control the Flow of Electricity to Different Parts of a Circuit or to Switch Between Different Circuits Altogether.
03. Light

Fig 4:Â Light |
CFLs work in a completely different way from ordinary lamps, they work by using a different process called fluorescence rather than generating light from heat. A typical light bulb wastes 90% of energy and converts only 10% of energy into light, this is where CFL has the biggest advantage. CFL- Curved or conical glass tube filled with argon and a small amount of mercury vapor. The inner wall of the glass is coated with fluorescent material. CFL- It is manufactured using the principle of creating fluorescent light. CFL- Originally white in color but now the construction and use of CFLs producing colored light has become popular.

Frequently Asked Questions
ow many light switches can control one light?
As a rule, we must always install 3-way switches in pairs, and then as many 4-way switches as necessary. For example, if a light is to be controlled from four different locations we would need two 3-way switches and two 4-way switches.
What is a 2 way switch for one light?
A 2 way light switch has 3 terminals inside to allow control of the same light from two points and is commonly found at the top or bottom of a staircase, or in rooms with multiple entrances.
How do you connect a bulb to a switch?
Procedure: This is just like a series circuit i.e. all the components are connected in series. Just connect the Neutral wire directly to the light bulb and then connect the light bulb to the switch through the middle wire. And then connect the live wire to the switch as shown in fig below.
What is a lamp switch called?
Toggle: A toggle light switch is the most common style. It has a single toggle that sticks out from the faceplate. The toggle is switched up or down to turn the light on or off. Rocker: A rocker light switch operates in the same way as a toggle switch, but the design differs.
How does a lamp switch work?
The switch simply opens (off) or closes (on) the connection between the two terminals on the switch. When the switch is on, current flows along the black wire through the switch to the light, and then returns to ground through the white wire to complete the circuit.
