How to connect 3 Light Switch | 3 Lights to one Switch
How to connect 3 Light Switch:
This diagram shows how to connect 3 light switches. In this diagram, we use 3 DP MCBs ( Double Pole Miniature Circuit Breaker), a switch, 3 light holders, and 3 lights. In this circuit first, we need to input power DP MCB then DP MCB to switch and then we need to input power light holders. Now, this circuit is ready for use. If you want to see an animation of the circuit connection please check our youtube video below the post.

Components used to make the Connect 3 Light Switch:
01. DP MCB

Double pole MCB can control two wires. This circuit breaker is generally used in single-phase electric lines. Double pole MCB circuit breaker input has two wires supply two wires and an output. In a single-phase line, A double-pole MCB circuit breaker is used to give good production. This circuit breaker is provided through phase and neutral circuit breaker, it is very safe. This circuit breaker is preferred for home appliances. A DP MCB usually trips for 2 reasons 1. Overload 2. Short circuit.
02. Light

CFLs work in a completely different way from ordinary lamps, they work by using a different process called fluorescence rather than generating light from heat. A typical light bulb wastes 90% of energy and converts only 10% of energy into light, this is where CFL has the biggest advantage. CFL- Curved or conical glass tube filled with argon and a small amount of mercury vapor. The inner wall of the glass is coated with fluorescent material. CFL- It is manufactured using the principle of creating fluorescent light. CFL- Originally white in color but now the construction and use of CFLs producing colored light has become popular.
03. Light Holder

A Light holder, commonly referred to as a stockholder, is any person, company, or institution that owns at least one share of a company's stock. Light Holders own the company, they enjoy the benefits of the company's success in the form of increased stock appreciation. Unlike owners of sole proprietorships or partnerships, corporate Light holders are not personally liable for the company's debts and other financial obligations. If the company goes bankrupt, its creditors cannot demand payment from the Light holders.
04. Switch

A Single-Pole, Single-Throw (SPST) Switch. It's Got one Output and One Input. The Switch will Either be Closed or Completely Disconnected. SPSTs are Perfect for on-off Switching. They're also a Very Common Form of Momentary Switches. SPST Switches are Commonly Used in a Variety of Electrical Circuits and Applications, Such as Turning on And off Lights, Fans, and Other Appliances. They can Also be Used to Control the Flow of Electricity to Different Parts of a Circuit or to Switch Between Different Circuits Altogether.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my light switch have 3 switches?
Three-way switches are commonly used to control one light fixture from 2 different locations. For example, a long hallway or stairway might use a three-way switch at each end so that lights could be turned on when approaching one end of the hall or stairway and then shut off from the other end.
How does a 3-wire switch work?
They have a common wire, which carries the electrical current flow to the light as well as two traveler wires that move the signal between the switches. When a switch changes its position, it either connects or disconnects the common wire from one of the traveler wires, which allows the circuit diagram to either complete or break.
Do all light switches have 3 wires?
The three-wire system is less common than the 2-wire system, it includes a Neutral switch as well as the Live or Switched Live wires. Figure 2: One example of a three-wire lighting System.
Can any light switch be 3 way?
No, a single pole switch cannot be used on a three-way lighting circuit. For a 3-way circuit, you would need to use two three-way switches, which are designed to work together to control the same light or set of lights from two different locations.
How many switches can you put on one light?
The only limiting factors affecting safety, that will determine the number of switches that could be safely used to control a single light fixture, are cost or the amount of wire that will be used. In most homes, three and four switch locations for a single fixture would be a practical limit.
